Rumors of “Super Slimey 2” With Future & Young Thug Surface Online

It seems a sequel to one of hip-hop’s greatest collaborations might be on the way.

Last night, Lil Baby dropped the highly anticipated WHAM on streaming platforms. While I personally found the project to be underwhelming (and apparently, many others did too), one track that received widespread acclaim was “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber,” featuring Future and Young Thug. Although the song could’ve been more dynamic, fans couldn’t help but feel nostalgic hearing these three Atlanta legends come together again.

Interestingly, it seems like we should prepare for even more collaborations with two of those artists. On Instagram, frequent Young Thug collaborator Wheezy shared a photo from the studio, showing an image in the background labeled Super Slimey 2. While there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, it’s hard to imagine they’d create that teaser without some serious plans in the works.

I can’t believe it’s been nearly eight years since Super Slimey dropped. Back then, it felt like Future and Young Thug were in their absolute prime, and everything they touched turned to gold. Since then, so much has changed—alliances have shifted, some affiliates have fallen out, jail time has been served, and the hip-hop landscape feels more divided than ever.

Depending on how they approach this sequel—whether through strategic collaborations or a focus on unity—this album could serve as a much-needed bridge to mend the divisions in the game and bring back that “buddy-buddy” energy we once had. I’m all for it!
