50 Cent Addresses Audio Backlash at Las Vegas Residency

50 Cent is unapologetic about his residency performances.

In the entertainment capital of the world, 50 Cent’s highly anticipated Las Vegas residency has been making waves—but not all the headlines have been positive. Recently, a prominent Vegas critic took to social media to criticize the sound quality during one of his performances, claiming that issues with audio clarity detracted from the overall experience.

Never one to shy away from addressing critics, 50 Cent responded directly during a recent show. He playfully called out the critic for expecting him to match the high-energy theatrics of artists like Usher, who incorporates rollerblading, or Chris Brown, who performs aerial stunts at their shows. “My songs don’t require all that,” he quipped, reinforcing the idea that his music stands on its own.

The rapper also poked fun at himself, admitting that he might rely on his signature hand wave a little too often during performances. The lighthearted self-awareness drew laughs from the crowd, proving that 50 Cent knows how to take criticism in stride while staying true to his style.

The responses to 50 Cent’s shows have been mixed. On X (Formerly Twitter), @snkrjnky commented, “That right arm gon fall off by the time this residency is done,” while C. Smith said, “Shiiid, that system sounds sufficient to me!”

Personally, here’s how I feel: 50 Cent is just being 50. No one should expect him to bring the energy of some of the other performers we’re used to seeing dominate the stage. Honestly, I don’t think he’s ever been that type of performer.

Based on what you’ve seen from 50’s residency, would you be excited to attend? I’d say hell no, but hey, everyone has their own prerogative.
