Ferg Says the A$AP Era Is Over

It’s the end of a strong era.

It’s the end of an era. The A$AP Mob, once a symbol of freedom, creativity, and raw energy for New York City’s youth, is no longer a cohesive force.

Unfortunately, the past few years have been rough for the A$AP Mob. After the tragic passing of A$AP Yams—one of the group’s foundational figures—tensions reportedly grew within the collective. Disputes and disagreements became more public, culminating in shocking incidents like the alleged shooting of former member A$AP Relli by A$AP Rocky.

Today, a video surfaced of Ferg confirming what many fans have suspected: the A$AP Mob is officially done. Ferg candidly shared that they haven’t made music together in years and that he hasn’t collaborated with Rocky in a long time.

The A$AP crew might truly go down as one of the biggest “what ifs” in hip-hop history. Their rise felt like lightning in a bottle—an undeniable force that showcased raw talent, unique style, and cultural influence. But once that overnight success hit, it seemed like individual interests started pulling them apart, leaving a gap that was hard to bridge.

While it’s not surprising that groups rarely stay together forever, it’s still disappointing to think about what could’ve been. Their potential as a collective was massive, and it’s bittersweet to imagine how much further they could’ve taken things together. Even so, their impact on hip-hop is undeniable, and their legacy will live on.

Do you believe the A$AP crew will reconcile in the near future?
