“Not Like Us” Becomes the First Diss Track in History to Surpass 1 Billion Spotify Streams

Damn, we listened to “Not Like Us” one billion times!?

The highlight of 2024 was unquestionably the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef. In just 48 hours, we got six diss tracks from these two heavyweights, with some quickly cementing themselves among the best of all time.

While I stand by my opinion that the best track from the feud was “Family Matters“—Drake’s ability to rap over three different beats with an endless barrage of killer lines was nothing short of legendary—the most impactful and most-played diss track goes to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

On Spotify, “Not Like Us” recently crossed the billion-stream mark. That’s an incredible achievement, especially considering it’s a diss track that dropped just eight months ago. Drake fans may argue bots boosted its numbers, but I can personally attest that I played the track an unhealthy amount of times.

Not Like Us Becomes First Diss Track To Reach One Billion Streams

Kendrick Lamar now has seven songs in his catalog with over one billion streams: “HUMBLE,” “DNA,” “Money Trees,” “LOVE,” “Pray For Me,” “All The Stars,” and the latest addition, “Not Like Us.” Out of all of them, there’s no doubt that this latest one is the most surprising.

Is “Not Like Us” Kendrick’s biggest track ever?
