Lil Uzi Vert might be back in album mode.
It’s safe to say that Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake 2 didn’t hit the mark for many fans. Personally, only “Perky Sex” and “Conceited” stood out to me on the entire project. There’s been speculation that the album was more of a throwaway effort, possibly released to satisfy contractual obligations.
In recent weeks, rumors have been swirling that Uzi might be gearing up to release their “real” album. DJ Akademiks hinted at this possibility during one of his streams, and Uzi added to the buzz by teasing new music on Instagram—not once, but twice. One track, titled “Save That S**t,” is a rework of Chief Keef’s classic, while the second remains untitled.
If this is true, Uzi has a lot riding on this next release. The Pink Tape didn’t quite land for me, and Eternal Atake 2 felt like a letdown. In today’s fast-paced music world, fans demand consistent greatness, and Uzi hasn’t delivered lately. Still, they’ve proven their talent before, so there’s reason to believe they can pull it off.
And with rumors of new music from Playboi Carti on the horizon as well, 2025 could shape up to be an exciting year for fans of both artists. Could we be getting a Uzi vs. Carti showdown? Only time will tell!
