Kanye West Credits His Daughter For Helping Him Love Music Again

I think we should all shake North West’s hand when we see her.

In 2025, we’re witnessing a revitalized Kanye West—more motivated, energetic, and outspoken than we’ve seen in years. While his trademark boasting and shade remain intact, it’s his rediscovered passion for music that’s truly standing out. According to Ye, the spark came from an unexpected source: his daughter.

In a recent Instagram post, Kanye shared, “This little girl made me love music again. She asked me to make beats for her. I got back on the ASR, chopped up beats for [the] album, and chopped every beat with my bare hands for BULLY.”

As someone who considers Kanye West the greatest musician of all time—not just in hip-hop but across genres—I couldn’t be more excited about this newfound joy. In his recent projects, including the VULTURES series, that spark felt a little dim. But if his words hold true, BULLY, his upcoming album, could mark an inspiring return to form and potentially one of his best works in years.
