Rating: 3.5 out of 5.I wonder if this track would’ve come out if Doechii lost.
Someone online said it best: Doechii is a superstar in the making. If you were building a franchise, she’s the kind of artist you’d build it around. She’s so good that if she were on the Dallas Mavericks, they probably would’ve traded her (sorry, I had to).
Last night, Doechii’s star power skyrocketed—she took home the Grammy for Best Rap Album. While I’m sure she celebrated with every high-quality liquor imaginable, she also wasted no time dropping a brand-new single, “NoseBleeds.”
In true Doechii fashion, “NoseBleeds” is a rebellious, off-the-wall track where she flexes her creativity and unpredictability. She references Kanye West’s iconic Grammy rant, teases that we’ll never know what she would’ve said if she lost, and even delivers a wild moment where she confuses God with Top Dawg in a way that only she could pull off.
She also taps into several characters from her “Denial Is A River” era, bringing a chaotic energy that feels like N.W.A levels of defiance.
While her rapping is sharp, “NoseBleeds” is completely unhinged, making it a wild ride that might not be for everyone. It feels more like a moment of fun and rebellion rather than a carefully crafted banger. Still, there’s no denying that Doechii is one of the most exciting artists in the game right now.
What do you think? Is “NoseBleeds” a hit or too chaotic to enjoy?
