Barcelona-born Leo Golo has returned with his latest release, the five-track pop EP Deciduous. Known for his talents as a songwriter, vocalist, and keyboard player, Leo not only crafts his own original music but has also collaborated with various artists in Spain, assisting with songwriting, production, and arrangements. He has even participated in the International Writers Camp in The Netherlands, working alongside local artists and songwriters.
The EP’s title track, “Deciduous,” captures the essence of temporary love and fleeting emotions. Reflecting on its meaning, Leo shared on Instagram:
“This song is about temporary love and learning to let yourself get lost in the feelings at night without worrying too much about how long they will last. Just like deciduous trees shedding their leaves or teeth falling out when their time has passed, this love dissolved naturally once its purpose was fulfilled.”
With a hypnotic blend of hazy tones, delicate piano melodies, and rhythmic finger snaps, “Deciduous” sets the perfect mood-enhancing backdrop for its emotionally charged narrative. Lyrics like:
