Honorable Mention. Any Day
They were picking flowers and kicking ass during the making of this track.
The smoothest beat on the album belongs to “Any Day,” which says a lot considering how many laid-back, vibe-heavy beats this project boasts. But don’t let the mellow production fool you—this track also features some of Larry June and 2 Chainz’s most aggressive raps on the album.
Both artists approach the song like motivational coaches, teaching listeners how to turn losses into wins. Their consistent flows and direct deliveries cut through the silky instrumental with precision. Meanwhile, 2 Chainz’s punchlines shine, as he effortlessly positions himself as the best thing since—well—five slices of bread.
5. Tru Organics
Something about those ’70s buddy cop instrumentals always gets to me.
“Tru Organics” is as smooth as Gary Coleman’s edges once were. The track’s soothing production sets the perfect laid-back tone, making it the ideal soundtrack for cruising through the city at 15 MPH with something rolled up.
Larry June and 2 Chainz both bring their A-game, effortlessly gliding over the beat. Larry flexes his boss moves, reflecting on the rewards of his business-minded plays, while 2 Chainz delivers his signature hustler mentality, proving his grind never fades. Their quirky, relentless flows cut through the beat like a knife, making for a highly enjoyable listen.
4. I Been
I kept saying “ooh” after all of Larry June and 2 Chainz’s bars. It’s safe to say that I was feeling this s**t.
“I Been” rides on an elegant, old-school beat with an incredibly soothing vibe—so much so that it almost feels like the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon nap. But don’t get too comfortable—2 Chainz and Larry June keep things engaging as they trade verses about deadbeat mothers, effortless money-making, and indulgent vices (both shaky and non-shaky).
One of the track’s standout elements is the duo’s seamless back-and-forth delivery. 2 Chainz plays the role of the homie telling wild stories while cruising at 45 MPH, while Larry raps with the laid-back demeanor of someone swinging in a hammock. The result? Pure, effortless cool.
3. LLC
This s**t hits differently when you have an LLC (Ratings Game Music is a bootleg LLC).
I swear, if you threw anyone from Griselda on this track, it would be an instant underground classic. The Alchemist laces Larry June and 2 Chainz with a beat colder than Nico Harris’ heart, setting the perfect tone for some cutthroat bars.
Both rappers sound sharp and competitive, making it clear they’re built for the grind. They drop gems on staying calm under pressure and moving smart in business, proving that hustling is an art form.
2. Life Is Beautiful
“Life Is Beautiful” will put a smile on your heart.
Does a backdrop get more beautiful than this? The production on this track feels like pure serenity, with birds chirping, the sun basking in the sky, and rainbows doing what they do best—rainbowing. It’s the kind of instrumental that makes you want to sit back, relax, and soak in the good life.
Larry June and 2 Chainz match the vibe effortlessly. Larry paints a vivid picture of his luxurious day-to-day, from his morning routine to taking in breathtaking views. Meanwhile, 2 Chainz brings a punchy old-school hip-hop energy, flexing his boss mentality and even employing women as his official weed rollers. Listen to this track for its vibes, dawg.
1. Bad Choices
Do you know who else makes bad choices? The Dallas Mavericks. These negroes traded Luka Doncic, bro!
First and foremost, credit must be given to The Alchemist for crafting a beat that’s soulful, dramatic, and cinematic—it’s the kind of production that deserves a chef’s kiss.
The great news? Both 2 Chainz and Larry June shine over it. 2 Chainz brings his signature cocky, punchline-heavy style, rapping about being self-made, his relentless work ethic, and his impressive come-up. Meanwhile, Larry June counters with his extra laid-back delivery, flexing about luxury fashion, financial discipline, and his independent grind.
Despite their contrasting styles, the duo’s performances blend together seamlessly, making this track a standout moment.

RGM RATING
(80%)
Vibes for the win.
The Alchemist, Larry June, and 2 Chainz each bring their own brand of cool—and on Life Is Beautiful, they blend their styles to create a project filled with grown-man wisdom, smooth and soothing instrumentals, and slept-on rap styles that often get overlooked due to their laid-back and quirky deliveries.
However, one thing to keep in mind: This album is not built for high-energy moments. If you’re feeling sleepy, drink some coffee or make sure you’ve had nine hours of rest before diving in. A good chunk of the project leans into a drowsy, unhurried vibe, which may not click with everyone at first.
That said, if you take the time to truly absorb the lyricism, you’ll find a rich, rewarding body of work that showcases two rappers at the top of their game over The Alchemist’s masterful production.
