When was Kodak Black not single?
Kodak Black has built a reputation as one of the hardest young rappers in the game. In case you forgot, he’s the guy who once rapped about eating a fake perc. But here’s the twist—Kodak also has a softer side, with plenty of lovey-dovey tracks in his catalog. In fact, he even dropped an entire project called Heart Break Kodak (HBK), where he sang like his life depended on it. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Kodak returns with a new single, “Single Again.”
On “Single Again,” Kodak pleads with his partner to get back on the same page, reminding her of everything he’s done for her while admitting that sex tends to complicate his relationships. But don’t worry—he still finds time to sprinkle in lyrics about drugs and violence. After about three listens, the chorus, with Kodak passionately singing his heart out, really started to hit. As for his vocal performance over the smooth R&B-trap beat? That one might take 19 listens and a few shots of vodka to fully process.
