Wendy Williams Spotted Smiling in Rare Family Outing Amid Guardianship Battle

LOS ANGELES – OCT 17: Wendy Williams at the Wendy Williams Star Ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 17, 2019 in Los Angeles, CA

You gotta be happy for Wendy Williams.

In the midst of Wendy Williams’ ongoing legal and health struggles, a heartwarming video of the former talk show host has surfaced online. The clip captures Williams dining at a restaurant with her son and other family members, appearing happy, healthy, and in good spirits. This is a stark contrast to her past couple of appearances, which painted a much bleaker picture of her current state.

Williams, once known for her bold and confident on-screen presence, is currently battling frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA). These diagnoses led to a court-appointed guardianship controlling her finances and healthcare—something she has been actively fighting against. In recent months, she has spoken out about the restrictive nature of the arrangement, alleging that it has prevented her from basic freedoms, including visiting her father for his 94th birthday.

Wendy Williams Looks In Good Spirits In New Video

A particularly distressing video of Williams recently made headlines, showing her on a phone call with TMZ, crying as she gazed out of a window, appearing lost and defeated. Given that image, it’s refreshing to see her now in a more positive light—smiling and enjoying time with her loved ones.

As Williams continues her legal fight to regain control over her life, fans remain hopeful for more uplifting moments like this one.
