Kodak Black and Rich The Kid Drop New Track “Rain Snow”

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Rich The Kid and Kodak Black are cut from the same reckless cloth.

Kodak Black and Rich The Kid have been in the rap game for over a decade now, and it’s wild to think of them as veteran artists, especially considering Biggie’s career lasted just seven years. Despite their long-standing presence in hip-hop, the two continue to release new music. Last year, Rich The Kid dropped Life’s A Gamble, an album executive produced by Kanye West, while Kodak Black has kept busy with projects like Gift For The Streets, Trill Bill, and Dieuson Octave. Today, they released a new track called “Rain Snow.”

“Rain Snow” doesn’t quite hit the mark. Kodak Black’s chorus feels underwhelming, and the beat doesn’t quite deliver the energy you might expect. Rich The Kid sticks to his usual luxury-laden lyrics but doesn’t bring anything fresh to the track. Kodak Black’s verse, which touches on his past struggles and violent history, adds a bit of depth but doesn’t save the song overall.

While the collaboration may spark interest for long-time fans, “Rain Snow” fails to live up to expectations.
