Kanye West Expresses Displeasure Over Kendrick Lamar’s Features on Playboi Carti’s “I AM MUSIC”

C’mon Kanye…

Hip-hop continues to make waves in 2025, with Kendrick Lamar leading the charge. After dominating the Grammys and delivering a memorable performance at the Super Bowl, Kendrick’s presence was felt once again in Playboi Carti’s highly anticipated album, I AM MUSIC, which features three of his guest spots. However, not everyone is on board with Kendrick’s major role in the project.

Kanye West took to X to share his thoughts, revealing that he isn’t a fan of Kendrick Lamar’s music and believes his contributions weren’t necessary on Carti’s album. While Ye did acknowledge Kendrick’s talent as a rapper, his remarks raised eyebrows, considering Kendrick’s prominence in the current hip-hop landscape.

West’s comments reveal a complex layer of hip-hop rivalry and competition. While many appreciate the competitive spirit among rappers, Ye’s open criticism of Kendrick’s involvement seems to hint at some underlying tension. His frustrations echo previous beefs, including his long-running rivalry with Drake, leaving fans wondering whether Kanye can handle the heat from both rap superstars.

As Kendrick’s influence continues to soar, it remains to be seen whether this public feud will escalate or if Ye can manage to stay in the game without adding Kendrick and Drake to his list of conflicts.
