Alma Owren’s “under the surface” Is a Soul-Stirring Masterpiece

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This is one of the best tracks from Alma Owren’s new “Under The Surface” EP.

If you were to invest in an artist’s future, Alma Owren would be the one. Not only does she have an unbelievable voice, but she also pours her soul into every track, making sure listeners experience every ounce of her artistry. Recently, Alma released a short but impactful EP, Under The Surface, and one of its standout moments is the title track.

I highly recommend that you fully immerse yourself in “under the surface.” The track is carried by a cloudy, atmospheric, and impossibly smooth instrumental that sets the stage for Alma’s soothing, mesmerizing vocals. Lyrically, she delves into the emotions she keeps buried, reflecting on how confronting them has led to self-discovery and vulnerability. What I love most is how the song’s backdrop gradually gains a heartbeat—evolving, blooming, and mirroring the emotional release she sings about.

Don’t just take my word for it—experience the unbelievable “under the surface” for yourself.
