Playboi Carti Keeps the Momentum Going with “FOMDJ”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is the kind of music I expected “I AM MUSIC” to have.

I’m not going to lie—I was shocked by how much I enjoyed Playboi Carti’s I AM MUSIC. Despite its very lengthy 31-song tracklist (I usually hate long-ass albums) and all the cartoonish voices, I found the album versatile, fun, and packed with hits. Clearly, the people agreed, as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and shattered streaming records for 2025. Now, Carti keeps the energy alive by adding another track to the mix: “FOMDJ.”

Powered by a trippy, video game-like beat, “FOMDJ” is the kind of track that’ll have you wildin’ out—especially if you’re under the influence of some weed brownies. As expected, Carti bounces off the walls, using his signature wacky, high-pitched flow to flex about his money, his luxury watches, and how he’s outpacing his opps. He even takes a moment to shout out his DJ, acknowledging that the women who rock with him also rock with his DJ.

Overall, FOMDJ is a bouncy, high-energy banger that fans with an open mind will f**k with heavily.

I genuinely believe I am a Playboi Carti fan now.
