Kanye West Takes Aim at J. Cole in Latest Social Media Rant

Kanye West has beef with every top rapper in the game right now.

I’ve tried to avoid talking about Kanye West, but when he publicly calls out his peers, it’s hard to ignore. Over the past few weeks, Ye has taken shots at JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, and even Drake for reasons that seem to exist solely in his head. Now, he’s added another name to the list: J. Cole.

In a series of random tweets, Ye fired off at the Fayetteville rapper, with one particular post catching major attention: “No one listens to J. Cole after losing their virginity.” He also suggested that Drake should’ve never given Cole a platform and should have backed Future instead.

While Ye’s comments seem out of the blue, there’s history between him and Cole. Early in his career, Cole openly admired Kanye, and his production style reflected Ye’s influence. But things shifted when Cole released “False Prophets,” a track in which he seemingly called out Kanye for falling from grace and losing his way. Looking back, it now feels like an eerie bit of foreshadowing.

With Ye already juggling multiple rap feuds, adding Cole to the mix just makes things even more chaotic. It remains to be seen whether Cole will respond—or simply let Ye’s latest rant fade into the background.
