T Clipse Is Back with a Bang on “Iron Giant”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

This is music for your battered soul.

T Clipse has three things that make him a must-listen: elite rap skills, a powerful story to tell, and the passion to tell it right. The Boston-based rapper, producer, and engineer has been on a steady rise, dropping relatable, thought-provoking tracks that stay with you long after they end. Past singles like “September” and “End of Discussion” showed his range, but his latest release, “Iron Giant,” might be his most commanding track yet.

As T Clipse’s first solo drop of 2025, “Iron Giant” features a hard-hitting, cinematic beat that could easily score an awards ceremony or victory lap. Over this triumphant production, he spits with conviction—reflecting on the fight in his soul, his relentless ambition, and his connection to anyone who’s had to overcome obstacles. He also raps about turning Ls into lessons, and the way he punches each line with intent makes it impossible not to feel what he’s saying.

If motivation had a soundtrack, this would be it. “Iron Giant” feels like a TED Talk wrapped in bars, delivered by someone who’s lived every single word.
