Earl Sweatshirt and MAVI Reunite on “Landgrab,” Their First Collab Since 2019

Earl Sweatshirt and Mavi give us something slight.

Earl Sweatshirt and MAVI are back together on wax for the first time since their critically praised 2019 collaboration “El Toro Combo Meal” from Feet of Clay. Despite both artists earning reputations as boundary-pushers in the underground hip-hop space, they’ve kept their creative paths mostly separate—until now.

Early Tuesday morning, the pair dropped a surprise new track titled “Landgrab,” produced by Hollywood Cole. The beat instantly grabs attention with its soulful, laidback, vintage hip-hop feel, tailor-made for both Earl and MAVI’s styles. The chemistry between the two is unmistakable, even after several years apart.

MAVI opens with a relentless, free-flowing verse that reminds listeners why he’s one of the most compelling voices in modern rap. Earl Sweatshirt follows with a signature abstract flow—loose, poetic, and layered in meaning. Lyrically, the duo touches on themes of luxury living, creative dominance, and embracing the moment, all delivered with a raw, unfiltered edge.

No one looks or raps like Earl Sweatshirt in the hip-hop game.
