Chxrry22 Declares Star Status on Futuristic New Single “Main Character”

There’s nothing doper than having main character syndrome.

I don’t know about you, but I’m buying a lot of stock in Chxrry22. Based on her growing catalog, three things are crystal clear: she has an outstanding voice, she’s wildly versatile, and she’s a top-tier songwriter. She also blends genres effortlessly and always manages to feel authentic and grounded, no matter the topic.

Some of her biggest singles—like “Just Like Me” and “Popping Out (Mistakes)”—highlight her range. But her latest drop, “Main Character,” is on another level.

In this track, Chxrry22 fully embraces her main character energy. She talks her talk with five-star flair, calling out copycats who fall shorter than Mugsy. What makes the track really pop is how the production mirrors her confidence—it’s futuristic, full of dreamy synths, and feels like something straight out of 2050.

Vocally, she’s in her bag. Chxrry22 experiments with infectious melodies, delivers a sly and sticky hook, and glides across the beat with ease. It’s rare to hear a song this bold, polished, and forward-thinking all at once.
