Lil Tecca is leveling up—”DOPAMINE” is projected to debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 50K units, marking a career milestone.
Last week, I called Lil Tecca a burgeoning superstar, and this week, the numbers are backing that claim up. Tecca has done something few artists his age manage to pull off: carve his own lane while consistently delivering melodic hip-hop hits that are easy to digest. It’s a proven recipe for long-term success.
His latest album, DOPAMINE, might be his best work to date—and it looks like the public agrees.
According to HITSDD, DOPAMINE is projected to debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, moving approximately 50,000 units in its first week. That would make it Lil Tecca’s second-highest debut ever, trailing only his breakout mixtape We Love You Tecca (which moved 68,000 units in 2019).

So, who landed ahead of Tecca? At No. 1 is Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem, holding steady for a fifth consecutive week (187k). Right behind him is K-pop powerhouse ATEEZ with GOLDEN HOUR: Part 3 (80k). Rounding out the top five are SZA’s LANA (47k) and Sabrina Carpenter’s Short and Sweet (41k).
The most impressive part? Tecca is doing this on his own terms—without major controversies, high-profile drama, or heavy co-signs. He’s building a brand, brick by brick, and it’s clearly paying off.
