This is Kevin Gates’s version of “Sicko Mode.”
Kevin Gates recently dropped not one, not two, but three new singles as he gears up for the highly anticipated release of Luca Brasi 4 — and they each showcase a different version of the Baton Rouge native that fans have grown to love. One of the standout tracks is “Stir The Pot,” a split-personality record that sees Gates switch gears halfway through while staying unapologetically real.
The first half of “Stir The Pot” rides a celebratory, bass-heavy beat, with Gates calling out fake industry love and reminding listeners that he’s cut from a different cloth. There’s a catchy chorus, a gritty tone, and some slick bars about people who disappeared after he showed them love. It’s introspective, but still street.
Then — enter the beat switch. The second half flips into a high-energy, club-ready production, giving us the rowdier version of Kevin Gates. He brags about his dancing diamonds, throws in lines about fighting if needed, and lets his aggressive, fast-paced delivery shine.
The only drawback? The track feels a bit unfinished, like it could’ve used one more polish session in the studio. Nonetheless, the track is still a great lesson.
