Quavo & Anycia Link Up For “Put Up”

You probably can’t afford Anycia if you have a regular 9-5 job.

Do you know what my introduction to Anycia was? It wasn’t a freestyle or a viral hit—it was a tweet. After That Mexican OT said he was OK with saying the n-word in an interview, Anycia didn’t mince words: If you not Black, stop saying n***a. That moment made it clear—she’s not just trying to make waves musically, she stands for something. She gained fans and probably picked up a few haters, too, but more than anything, she made it clear she knows who she is.

My musical introduction to her came shortly after, through her new single with Quavo, “Put Up.”

In the track, Anycia makes one thing very clear: you can’t be average and expect to be in her orbit. She smashes different, expects expensive everything, and looks good bare-faced. Quavo slides in like the guy who can handle her—gassing her up and bragging about how he’ll keep things juicy. The two trade bars over a beat that knocks, but still has this naughty edge.

Anycia delivers her verses in a faded, laidback style—think Luh Tyler, but with a sharper tongue. Meanwhile, Quavo shows up with his signature melodic delivery that honestly sounds like it could’ve been AI-generated. Overall, it’s a solid track—nothing groundbreaking, but it does the job and introduces Anycia as someone worth keeping an eye on.
