Lupe Fiascos Drops “Samurai” & “Palaces” Remixes

Rating: 4 out of 5.
Lupe Fiasco & Troy Tyler in Samurai

Lupe Fiasco teamed up with Troy Tyler to drop remixes of “Samurai” and “Palaces.”

As always, Lupe’s pen is razor sharp. Both tracks showcase his unmatched lyricism and storytelling, wrapped in flows that feel effortless yet intentional.

“Samurai” is the more infectious of the two—its chorus is catchy in the best way, the kind of hook that lingers long after the track ends. “Palaces,” on the other hand, digs deeper. It’s thoughtful and introspective, full of layered lines that reward close listening.

Overall, Troy Tyler’s vocals bring a smooth contrast to Lupe’s complexity, rounding out the sound and giving both tracks a wider emotional range. Smart, stylish, and striking.
