This could end up being another classic for the Wu-Tang legend.
Legendary Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon has officially announced his long-awaited return with a brand-new album titled The Emperor’s New Clothes, dropping July 18th.
The upcoming project marks Raekwon’s first full-length solo effort since 2017’s The Wild and promises to deliver everything fans love about the lyrical chef: vivid storytelling, sharp bars, and gritty soul-sampling production.
He won’t be cooking alone. The album boasts an all-star lineup, including features from Nas, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, and Griselda’s holy trinity: Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, and Conway The Machine. This blend of old-school greatness and new-school grime all but guarantees The Emperor’s New Clothes will be a heavy-hitter.
With the full tracklist still under wraps, Raekwon’s return is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most celebrated hip-hop events. And if history has taught us anything, it’s this: when The Chef’s in the kitchen, the streets eat well.
July 18th is already looking like a date to circle in bold. Go ahead and request your PTO now.
