I’m so glad Justin Bieber didn’t completely steal Clipse’s shine.
The rap world is witnessing a full-circle moment as Clipse, the iconic duo made up of Pusha T and Malice, has officially claimed the #1 spot on US iTunes with their explosive comeback album Let God Sort Em Out. Meanwhile, pop heavyweight Justin Bieber shakes up the charts once again with his surprise release Swag, which has quickly surged to #2 on the platform.
Let God Sort Em Out marks Clipse’s first full-length project together in over 15 years and comes packed with cinematic, hard-hitting production by Pharrell Williams. As someone who listened to it about four times yesterday, the album deserves praise for its lyrical sharpness, mature themes, and unapologetic tone. With heavyweight features from Nas, Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, and more, the project feels like a cultural event—both a reminder of their legacy and a powerful new chapter in their story.
Not to be outdone, Justin Bieber’s left-field drop Swag is turning heads for very different reasons. The album, which arrived without warning, features an eclectic mix of collaborators including Sexyy Redd, viral comedian Druski (featured three times!), and even cult favorite Lil B. Swag leans into hip-hop and internet culture, showcasing a riskier, less polished side of Bieber’s artistry—something we have all been eager to see. With both projects shaking up the charts, it’s a big moment for genre-pushing creativity across hip-hop and pop.
That said, JACKBOYS 2 will probably whoop both of these projects when it drops on Sunday.
