Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist Announce “Alfredo 2” Album — Drops July 25

Freddie Gibbs (right) seems born to spit over The Alchemist’s productions. Their new album, Alfredo, is a delicious portmanteau of their names.

We might be getting the album of the year here.

One of hip-hop’s most critically acclaimed duos is back. Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have officially announced the release of their long-anticipated sequel album Alfredo 2 — dropping July 25 alongside a visual companion project titled Alfredo: The Movie.

The follow-up to their Grammy-nominated 2020 classic, Alfredo, the new album will feature 14 total tracks, continuing the duo’s masterclass in mafioso rap and cinematic production. Fans can expect the same gritty, soul-drenched beats from The Alchemist, paired with Gibbs’ razor-sharp bars and vivid street storytelling.

What elevates this rollout even further is the inclusion of Alfredo: The Movie, a full-length visual project inspired by the album’s themes and energy. Teasers have already surfaced, showcasing dramatic confrontations, stylized violence, and vintage aesthetics — calling back to Blaxploitation and crime cinema. The film will drop today.

This dual-release format is bold but fitting for a duo that never plays it safe. From shadowy mafioso vibes to deeply personal moments and fiery punchlines, Alfredo 2 looks like it will be just as unrelenting and polished as its predecessor, if not more ambitious.

Go ahead and put your PTO in for July 25th, folks.
