Don’t you love it when sequels come out several years later?
The wait is over—Supreme Clientele 2 is officially on the calendar. Ghostface Killah, the legendary wordsmith of the Wu-Tang Clan, has announced that the highly anticipated sequel to his 2000 classic Supreme Clientele will arrive in August 2025. For fans of sharp storytelling, abstract lyricism, and East Coast grit, this is a historic moment.
Ghostface first teased the sequel years ago, but delays and mystery surrounded its release. Now, with a confirmed drop date, anticipation is at an all-time high. The original Supreme Clientele is widely regarded as one of the most creative and lyrically brilliant hip-hop albums ever made, full of dense wordplay, wild slang, and cinematic delivery. If Part 2 follows suit, it could serve as a reminder that Ghostface’s pen still cuts deep, even decades into his career.

While details on producers and features are still under wraps, what I’m hoping for is that we see a bunch of Wu members, with production credit from either Ye (It was rumored that Ye would be involved) and/or RZA . Regardless, Supreme Clientele 2 looks to fuse that raw Shaolin energy with today’s sonic edge, keeping the spirit of the original alive while evolving its sound for a new era.
Summer 2025 might go down as one of the greatest moments in hip-hop history.
