TOP 5

5. Sicko

Do you ever feel like a “Sicko”?

“Sicko” opens with a slow, distorted intro that feels like an emotionally heavy high—like being hyper-aware of the shadows lurking in your mind. When the beat eventually kicks in, it maintains that same moody atmosphere, letting you nod your head along while slipping into deep, introspective thought.

4. Holiday

Who’s ready to go on “Holiday”?

“Holiday” is a genuinely enjoyable listen, built around a slow yet powerful bass riff. The vocals and rhythm flow effortlessly, creating a smooth, immersive vibe. What really stands out is the lyrical contrast—grappling with the pain of a broken world and the mental weight that disrupts your mood and sense of control, while still pushing forward with resilience. It’s a beautifully balanced track, and honestly, I love everything about it—the sound, the energy, the emotion. Immaculate.

3. Someone Told Me (feat. Rosiee)

Hanumankind and Rosiee give us a deep collab.

“Someone Told Me” stands out as another strong entry on the album. The beat drives the track from start to finish, setting the tone with steady momentum. It earns a spot in the top 5 thanks to its deeper, more introspective lyricism—something I really appreciate. The message hits home, and the sung chorus adds a refreshing touch, creating a dynamic and enjoyable listen between the verses.

2. Villainous Freestyle

“Villainous Freestyle” might just be the hero of the album’s sound.

“Villainous Freestyle” is one of the most fun tracks on the album—upbeat, dramatic, and cinematic, like something straight out of a movie soundtrack. It strikes that perfect balance where you could either dance along or just rock your head to the rhythm. This track really showcases Hanumankind’s skills as a rapper more than most others on the album. His delivery is faster, sharper, and more commanding here. Simply put, he sounds incredible.

1. Big Dawgs (Remix) (with A$AP Rocky)

There’s a new “Big Dawg” on this track.

“Big Dawgs” is the perfect name for this kind of collaboration. From the slick vibe to the seamless flow, every artist on the track brings their A-game and plays off each other’s strengths effortlessly. Compared to the rest of the album, this track stands out with its high energy, punchy vocals, and infectious groove. A$AP Rocky’s feature adds an extra layer of flair—his presence elevates the track and rounds it out in the best way possible.

SONG-BY-SONG RATING

Monsoon Season is a rollercoaster of moods and moments. Hanumankind isn’t afraid to experiment with sound or subject matter, and while the album isn’t flawless, its best tracks prove that he’s an artist still evolving—and still worth keeping an eye on.
