I feel like SZA is in the top 5 of everything.
SZA’s blockbuster sophomore album SOS continues its unstoppable reign. The critically acclaimed project has now surpassed Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia to become the second most-streamed album by a female artist in Spotify history, a staggering feat for a record that’s only been out since December 2022.
Since its release, SOS (Along with LANA, the deluxe version of the project) has broken numerous streaming records, dominated the Billboard charts, and fueled a headline-grabbing tour that cemented SZA’s place at the top of modern R&B. Packed with hits like “Kill Bill,” “Snooze,” “30 For 30,” and “Nobody Gets Me,” the album resonated deeply with fans for its raw emotion, genre-fluid sound, and SZA’s fearless vulnerability. Its massive streaming numbers are not just a sign of popularity—they reflect cultural impact and long-lasting replay value.

Surpassing Future Nostalgia, an album that defined the post-lockdown pop era with back-to-back bangers like “Levitating” and “Don’t Start Now,” speaks volumes about SOS’s staying power. While Dua Lipa’s disco-pop revival helped bring joy to a difficult time, SZA’s more introspective and moody exploration of heartbreak, self-worth, and growth has clearly struck a lasting chord.
As it climbs higher, SOS now eyes the top spot—currently held by Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? You think she can catch it?
