Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy” Surpasses 5 Billion Spotify Streams

Cardi B has been able to juice the hell out of her debut album.

Cardi B’s debut album Invasion of Privacy has officially surpassed 5 billion streams on Spotify, making it the most-streamed rap album by a female artist in the platform’s history. Released in 2018, the project helped skyrocket Cardi to a household name.

Featuring smash hits like “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It” (with Bad Bunny and J Balvin), and “Be Careful,” Invasion of Privacy blended Bronx grit with global appeal. It was the first female rap album to win Best Rap Album at the GRAMMYs, and every single track on the project has since been certified platinum or higher by the RIAA — a first in rap history.

The album’s streaming longevity speaks volumes about Cardi’s position in the hip-hop world. While the industry often moves on quickly from debut albums, Invasion of Privacy continues to be a go-to for fans old and new, with its bold energy, quotable lyrics, and genre-blending production.

As Cardi gears up for her long-awaited sophomore album, she’s doing so with one of the strongest legacies in hip-hop today — and the numbers to back it up. With 5 billion streams and counting, Invasion of Privacy isn’t just iconic — it’s historic.
