Logic Misses the Mark with “NOBODY SAFE”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

I’m about to ban Logic from this site.

Logic has been experimenting with his sound a lot this year, but unfortunately, much of it hasn’t landed well. On his Sidequest project, which feels like it’s leaking in full, he tries to tap into a Playboi Carti-inspired vibe. While that direction could have injected fresh energy, “NOBODY SAFE” just doesn’t hit the way it should. It’s reminiscent of NBA players joking around in the All-Star Game—fun but not serious or impactful.

“NOBODY SAFE” features a hard-hitting, bass-heavy beat that’s definitely club-ready and has the potential to flip any party upside down. However, Logic’s performance struggles to keep up with the beat’s intensity. His rap style on this track leans heavily on vocal effects, which muddle his delivery and make the lyrics difficult to follow. The repetition doesn’t help either, leaving the track feeling stale rather than dynamic.

While the chorus manages to catch the ear with a slightly catchy hook, it’s not enough to save the song. The track lacks the sharp lyricism and clear energy fans expect from Logic, making it feel more like a misstep than a step forward. Instead of showing growth or evolution, “NOBODY SAFE” sounds like a forced attempt to fit into a sound that doesn’t suit him.

Overall, the song may get some club play due to its beat, but it falls short as a showcase of Logic’s talent. Fans hoping for a return to form or an exciting new direction might be left disappointed.

How can we get ICE to deport this version of Logic?
