Gunna’s “THE LAST WUN” Scores Massive 18.7M Opening Day Streams on Spotify

Gunna dares you to switch sides.

Gunna is starting 2025 on a high note. His latest album, THE LAST WUN, exploded onto Spotify with a staggering 18.7 million streams in its first 24 hours, securing the fourth biggest debut of the year for a rap album. It’s a testament to the Atlanta rapper’s staying power, following a year where his momentum only seemed to grow stronger.

Even NBA superstar LeBron James couldn’t resist chiming in on the project. Taking to social media, he wrote: “WUNNA!!!! Man o man! You don’t miss ?” — a nod to Gunna’s knack for consistently delivering replay-worthy tracks. The co-sign from King James only added to the buzz surrounding the album’s release.

Several songs made especially big waves on streaming day one. The Wizkid-assisted “forever be mine” led the charge with 1.86M streams, followed closely by “just say dat” (1.34M), the Burna Boy collaboration “wgft” (1.19M), and the Offset link-up “at my purest” (1.10M). Rounding out the top five were “many nights” (1.08M) and “let that sink in” (1.03M), proving that the project has no shortage of fan favorites.

With THE LAST WUN, Gunna has shown he can dominate charts, playlists, and conversation all at once. Whether it’s the star-studded features, his signature melodic flows, or the way he weaves between club bangers and introspective cuts, this album cements him as one of rap’s most bankable and versatile stars heading into 2025.
