A bittersweet pop gem that powerfully explores the struggle of saying goodbye and facing the pain that comes with moving forward.
Los Angeles-based Leonie Persch is a singer, songwriter, and performer with a rich career of writing, recording, and collaborating with other artists, accumulating millions of streams along the way. Since moving from her native Germany, she has stepped into the spotlight as an independent artist under her real name. Her latest single, “Code Blue,” follows her recent Blindfolded, both of which earned nominations for the Hollywood Independent Music Awards.
“Code Blue” blends lush guitar, dreamy tones, and melodic beats to create an immersive, emotionally stirring sound that perfectly supports its heartfelt narrative. Lyrics like “Oh my love, You’re like a cigarette, You fill me up, but it’s the kiss of death” and “My heart is dying and it’s not a metaphorical, If I say let’s resuscitate this, Would you go and just complicate this?” reflect the struggle of trying to revive a fading relationship while knowing when to let go. With expressive vocals and vivid storytelling, Leonie Persch delivers a bittersweet pop gem about saying goodbye and moving forward.
Chicago based writer and creative. Fan of 80’s horror, fancy coffee drinks, and late night drives.
