Polo G just put the love songs in the glovebox and pulled up with the windows down on menace mode.
One thing about Polo G is that, despite his naturally charming delivery, he can flip the switch into pure chaos when he wants to. For every heartfelt track like “Barely Holdin On,” there’s another where he sounds like he’s foaming at the mouth. His latest single, “Move Wrong,” is firmly in that latter category. This time, he’s joined by fellow Chicago native VonOff1700, who’s equally comfortable walking the dark side.
“Move Wrong” rides over a slightly triumphant, bass-heavy beat built to rally the most hardened corners of the city. The instrumental is heavy but clean, with an undercurrent that feels like a victory lap after a street battle. There’s no hook here—just two rappers firing off back-to-back verses like they’re unloading clips.
Polo G delivers with his signature bull-like presence, rapping with an unrelenting flow that doesn’t let the listener breathe. His bars are vivid, detailing past slides, illegal moves, and unflinching disrespect toward rivals. VonOff1700, on the other hand, brings a tone that’s chillingly casual—as if he’s describing a grocery run rather than street violence. Together, they turn the track into a cold manifesto.
This isn’t a song you “enjoy” in the traditional sense—it’s more of a statement piece, a reminder that these two artists aren’t here to play nice.
