A$AP Rocky Releases “Trunks” and “Both Eyes Closed”

A$AP Rocky is setting the tone for an upcoming film with 2 new singles.

A$AP Rocky came through on August 15th with his new singles “Trunks” and “Both Eyes Closed,” and they are already making waves. The tracks will appear in Apple’s upcoming digital movie Highest 2 Lowest, and both seem to be the perfect choice for a high-energy, cinematic moment.

From the jump, “Trunks” comes in heavy, with Rocky’s signature charisma front and center. His flow is sharp yet unbothered, riding the beat with that effortless cool only he can pull off. The production is layered and unique, giving the track a complexity that fans will recognize from his earlier work — it’s hype, but it’s not just noise. Every bar is icy, confident, and delivered like he’s got nothing to prove, because he really doesn’t.

“Both Eyes Closed” offers a slower tempo and a more low-key vibe. Despite its slower pace, the track gives off an eerie, buzzing energy that has you on the edge of your seat. Rocky is as icy as ever here, too, and it seems effortless for him.

Rocky leans into his bold, unapologetic style here, creating tracks that are both memorable on their own and also perfectly tailored for a big-screen moment. Overall, I can’t wait to see how these singles hit in the context of Highest 2 Lowest.
