Tory Lanez Releases “Stuck Behind The Wall” & “So Many Times”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Tory Lanez refuses to go away.

Though Tory Lanez remains behind bars for the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case, that hasn’t stopped him from keeping his name in the music conversation. Much of his recent output has come from his unreleased vault, but the tracks still carry a modern polish that fits today’s rap and R&B landscape. Today, he returns with two songs recorded in 2022 — “Stuck Behind The Wall” and “So Many Times.”

“Stuck Behind The Wall” clocks in at just 1:24, yet it feels like a fully realized track. The production blends a smooth, almost TLC-like vibe with hard-hitting drums, giving it both groove and grit. Tory’s verse is relentless — tongue-twisting flows and an aggressive tone aimed at those who turned their backs on him during his rise. Then, on the hook, he flips the energy with soulful, optimistic vocals, creating a sharp contrast that makes the track pop. It’s short, but it hits.

“So Many Times” stretches out to a more standard 2:50 runtime and leans on a beat with dusty, old-school hip-hop drums and a moody, numb atmosphere. Tory delivers in a melodic rap style, almost whining his way through the pain of betrayal. Lyrically, he frames those setbacks as fuel for self-growth, declaring that the hurt only pushed him to level up. In his second verse, he channels a more aggressive, veteran-like flow that gives the track a layered emotional punch.
