After a quiet start to 2025, rising rapper ian is ready to make noise again with a brand-new mixtape arriving this September.

ian has had a monumental year so far, even without releasing a full project. Earlier in 2025, he was featured on XXL’s Freshman list, a milestone that put him in the spotlight and gave fans a glimpse of his artistry through freestyles and live appearances. With his raw charisma and lyrical ability, ian has quickly become one of the most talked-about names in the new wave of hip-hop.

In 2024, ian showed just how versatile he could be with two projects—Goodbye Horses and Valedictorian. The latter cemented him as an artist to watch, with breakout moments that fueled his growing fanbase and industry respect. While 2025 has been quieter in comparison, ian has kept his name alive through select singles, including the fan-favorite “Shut It Down.”

Now, the anticipation is building again. ian has officially announced his new mixtape, set to drop in September 2025. Details are still under wraps, but with the momentum of his XXL Freshman recognition and the groundwork he’s already laid, this project could be his most important release yet.

If this mixtape delivers, it could be the defining moment that shifts him from promising newcomer to a solidified force in the industry. September can’t come soon enough.
