Daniel Caesar Announces New Album “Son of Spergy,” Coming October 24th

Daniel Caesar is making his long-awaited return with a deeply personal new project that’s already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated R&B releases of 2025.

Daniel Caesar is officially coming back, y’all. The GRAMMY-winning R&B artist just announced that his next studio album, Son of Spergy, will drop on October 24, 2025—and with a title this personal and intriguing, expect it to be borderline epic. He’s already set the stage with two singles, “Have A Baby (With Me)” and “Call On Me,” both of which hint at the deeply intimate yet universally resonant direction this project is headed in.

Known for his emotionally raw songwriting, smooth vocals, and genre-bending experimentation, Caesar has built a reputation as one of the most honest voices in modern R&B. His last album, NEVER ENOUGH (2023), showcased a deeper, moodier sonic palette—blending alternative influences with his signature soul. But Son of Spergy looks poised to go even further, both thematically and sonically. While the album title remains cryptic, it’s clear Caesar plans to get deeply personal—whether about love, self-discovery, or life since his last project.

Part of what’s already making this upcoming record feel monumental is the guest list. Son of Spergy will feature a stacked lineup of some of the most emotionally resonant and genre-fluid artists in music today, including Yebba, Clairo, Sampha, Bon Iver, Mustafa, Blood Orange, Rex Orange County, and more. With these collaborators, Caesar is clearly building a sonic universe that’s bound to be as introspective as it is expansive.

Though he’s kept relatively quiet over the last year, Caesar’s presence in music hasn’t dimmed. He’s remained a sought-after collaborator, delivering standout features on records by Snoh Aalegra, Brent Faiyaz, and Tyler, The Creator. But with Son of Spergy, it’s clear he’s ready to reclaim center stage—not just with love songs, but with stories that feel urgent, daring, and unapologetically personal.

This is about to be R&B gold, isn’t it?
