Dumoni The Jig Says He’s Not A “Role Model” In New Single

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Dumoni The Jig proves once again why versatility and authenticity remain at the core of his artistry.

There are two main reasons why I root for Dumoni The Jig. First and foremost, his versatility sets him apart. At any given moment, he’s capable of delivering AfroBeats anthems or gritty, hard-hitting rap records with equal mastery. Secondly, as someone from Nigeria myself, I feel an extra layer of pride watching one of our own make waves in music. His latest six-track EP, The Glitch, is a testament to both his range and his growing artistry.

One of the standout singles from the project is “Role Model.” The track is unapologetically raw, with Dumoni diving deep into his relentless work ethic and his refusal to blend into the mold of the average rapper. His lyrics reflect a hunger for greatness, but without the clichés—you can feel the authenticity in every bar.

The instrumental backing “Role Model” is dark, intense, and made for mobbing. It sets the stage for Dumoni’s aggressive delivery, where every word lands with precision and urgency. His flow slices through the beat effortlessly, commanding attention while amplifying the song’s motivational undertones.

What makes “Role Model” so effective is that it inspires without ever feeling preachy. It’s the type of track that pushes you to grind harder simply by listening to it. Check it out below.
