Nearly a decade later, Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Cherry Bomb‘ is surging back onto the charts.
Tyler, The Creator’s staying power is undeniable. Nearly a decade after its release, his 2015 album Cherry Bomb is projected to re-enter the Billboard 200 at #6 this week, powered by a 48K-unit boost following the arrival of physical shipments. The comeback reflects just how much fans still connect with Tyler’s earlier, experimental work.
Originally released in April 2015, Cherry Bomb showcased Tyler’s bold shift into more chaotic and genre-blending production. The tracklist features standouts like “Deathcamp,” “Buffalo,” “Pilot,” “Find Your Wings,” “Cherry Bomb,” “2Seater,” and the fan-favorite “Smuckers.” The project also pulled in heavyweight features from Schoolboy Q, Kali Uchis, Charlie Wilson, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Pharrell Williams.
When it first dropped, Cherry Bomb debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, selling 58,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week, 51,000 of which were pure sales. While its raw, distorted sound split critics at the time, the album is now remembered as a turning point in Tyler’s artistic evolution.
Tyler’s resurgence with Cherry Bomb arrives while he continues dominating with new music. His recent albums, CHROMAKOPIA and DON’T TAP THE GLASS, have both been massive chart successes—each landing in the top 15 of 2025’s best-selling albums. With his old work re-emerging and new projects thriving, Tyler has cemented himself as one of the most consistent forces in modern music.
