5. My Man On Willpower

This one flips the script. Sabrina sings about how her partner used to be obsessed with her, but now he’s maturing and practicing restraint. Instead of falling for all her advances, he’s focused on his own growth and personal goals. It’s frustrating for her, but also kind of a clever twist on modern relationship dynamics.

4. When Did You Get Hot?

A hilarious take on running into someone you’ve known forever and suddenly realizing they’ve… glowed up. One day they were “meh,” the next day they’re a whole new person. The track’s comedic, a little shocking, and definitely the kind of song that makes you think of that person from your own life.

3. Manchild

Sabrina Carpenter kicks off Man’s Best Friend with the only pre-release single, and it sets the tone perfectly. “Manchild” is all about men who, in her opinion, act more like boys. She’s calling out the ones who want to be babied, expect her to do everything, can’t match an outfit, forget to charge their phones, and clearly lack basic self-care. The song is humorous, catchy, and just a little exhausting—like, why can’t they just leave a girl alone?

2.We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night

This track is brutally honest in that lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek way Sabrina does best. It’s about a couple stuck in the same cycle: same fights, same routine, same predictability. Every time they’re ready to call it quits, they patch things up—make up, make love, and keep it moving. It’s a blunt but relatable look at relationships, carried by a hook that keeps it playful even in its seriousness.

1. Tears

One of the funniest songs on the record. Sabrina admits that the bare minimum—washing dishes, answering the phone, communicating openly—actually turns her on. It’s witty, sharp, and ridiculously relatable. You’ll laugh the whole way through, but also nod in agreement.

With Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter proves she’s in her bag. While she keeps the bubblegum-pop-with-a-Southern-twist style from Short n’ Sweet, this album leans harder into camp, drama, and playful honesty. It’s cheeky and sometimes explicit, but also refreshingly real and endlessly fun.

Sabrina has cemented herself as a girl’s girl, and this project pokes fun at the men in her orbit without being too harsh. Between the clever lyrics and sticky hooks, these songs feel built for radio—and in my opinion, they deserve to be everywhere.
