5. My Man On Willpower

This track is all about tables turning in a relationship.

The song flips the script—Sabrina sings about how her partner, once obsessed with her, is now maturing and practicing restraint. Instead of falling for all her advances, he’s focused on his own growth and personal goals. It’s frustrating for her, but also a clever twist on modern relationship dynamics.

4. When Did You Get Hot?

Sabrina leans into humor and surprise on this track.

It’s a hilarious take on running into someone you’ve known forever and suddenly realizing they’ve completely glowed up. One day they were “meh,” the next they’re a whole new person. The song is comedic, a little shocking, and instantly makes you think of that one person from your own life who fits the description.

3. Manchild

Sabrina doesn’t waste time letting listeners know exactly where this album is headed.

Sabrina Carpenter kicks off Man’s Best Friend with the only pre-release single, and it sets the tone perfectly. “Manchild” is all about men who, in her opinion, act more like boys. She calls out the ones who want to be babied, expect her to do everything, can’t match an outfit, forget to charge their phones, and neglect even the basics of self-care. The track is humorous, ridiculously catchy, and just a little exhausting—like, why can’t they just leave a girl alone?

2. We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night

Sabrina turns relationship déjà vu into a playful anthem.

This track is brutally honest in that lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek way she does best. It follows a couple stuck in the same cycle: same fights, same routine, same predictability. Yet every time they’re ready to call it quits, they patch things up—make up, make love, and keep it moving. It’s a blunt but relatable take on modern relationships, carried by a hook that keeps things playful even when it’s serious.

1. Tears

Leave it to Sabrina to make the bare minimum sound irresistible.

One of the funniest songs on the record, this track has her admitting that simple things—washing dishes, answering the phone, communicating openly—actually turn her on. It’s witty, sharp, and ridiculously relatable. You’ll laugh the whole way through, but also find yourself nodding in agreement.

RGM RATING

(78%)

With Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter proves she’s fully in her bag. While she carries over the bubblegum-pop-with-a-Southern-twist style from Short n’ Sweet, this project leans further into camp, drama, and playful honesty. It’s cheeky, sometimes explicit, but always refreshingly real and endlessly fun.

Over the past few years, Sabrina has cemented herself as a true girl’s girl, and Man’s Best Friend doubles down on that image. The album pokes fun at the men in her orbit without ever feeling bitter or mean-spirited. Instead, it’s witty, clever, and full of moments that radiate confidence.

Between the sticky hooks and razor-sharp lyrics, every track feels designed to grab attention. The songs are as radio-ready as they come, but they never lose their personality. Sabrina strikes the perfect balance between playful pop star and sharp-eyed storyteller, making the album easy to love from start to finish.

Simply put, Man’s Best Friend is another reminder that Sabrina Carpenter knows exactly who she is—and she’s having the time of her life showing it.
