Empowerment isn’t just a word for Young Thug—it’s a full-blown grievance in his latest leaked phone call.
Another leaked phone call from Young Thug recently surfaced, and this time, he dissed J. Cole and André 3000 during a convo about NBA YoungBoy. “Man, n***s don’t like y’all music neither, n***s don’t want that sh*t to come out,” he said. He went on, “André 3000, you are one of the biggest artists in the world, but you ain’t help nobody, you ain’t put nobody on.”
As you may know, Young Thug’s phone calls have been leaked all week, and so far, he’s been airing grievances about nearly everyone in the scene—from Migos and GloRilla to Lil Durk and his former friend Gunna. One of the recurring themes in these calls is loyalty, which also explains why he called out Kendrick Lamar, saying they didn’t help each other. His criticism of André 3000 and J. Cole follows a similar line of thought.
Interestingly, Thug and Cole previously collaborated on “London” from Cole’s Punk album, so this adds an extra layer of intrigue to his claims.
It remains to be seen how the Atlanta rapper will navigate the fallout from these remarks and whether he’ll continue airing his grievances publicly or shift back to his music.
