Top 5 Highest-Selling Rap Albums This Week (08/06/2025): Gunna, Big X Tha Plug & Drake

From Gunna to Offset, the rap game is still moving units—here are the top 5 best-selling rap albums this week.

5. GNX – Kendrick Lamar (20K)

Offset’s KIARI lands at number 5 on this week’s list, and it feels like the kind of album that will stick around for a while, gradually stacking up steady numbers. Why? Because it’s packed with tracks that carry a timeless vibe. Just this past week, I came across “Professional,” a standout that a friend pointed out has Offset rapping in a style reminiscent of Drake’s What Did I Miss? Moments like that make me think people will keep discovering new favorites from the project week after week. Plus, with the recent addition of four extra songs on the deluxe version, KIARI has even more to offer—and that staying power could keep it charting longer than expected.

4. Glockaveli: All Eyes On Me – Key Glock (20K)

Key Glock must really think he’s Pac, because he squeezed every drop of juice out of this Glockaveli run. Just last week, he dropped a ten-track extension titled Glockaveli: All Eyes On Me. True to form, the project features absolutely no guest appearances—just Glock holding it down solo. While “Daddy’s Little Girl” is clearly running away with the most streams, don’t sleep on gems like “Fashion Killa” and “Fabo,” which showcase the Memphis rapper at his sharpest.

3. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U – PARTYNEXTDOOR & Drake (22K)

The success of Some Sexy Songs 4 U is honestly impressive. Technically an R&B album, it’s managed to hold steady in the top 5, even though it feels like something Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR casually threw together while Drake was busy fighting a 100 v 1. If y’all let Drake walk away with the highest-selling hip-hop album of the year off this, he’ll never let it go. “NOKIA” continues to stand tall as a fan favorite, while “Somebody Loves Me” got a huge boost thanks to a fresh wave of music videos giving it new life.

2. BigxThaPlug – I Hope You’re Happy (30K)

BigXthaPlug pulled a bold move with a full-on country album, and somehow managed to outshine his competition in the hip-hop game—and honestly, probably most of the country genre too, unless your name is Morgan Wallen. The project features some seriously strong vocal assists from country heavyweights like Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman, and Luke Combs. One track that stood out this week is “Long Nights,” a song that blends grit and melody in a way that shows just how versatile BigXthaPlug really is.

1. The Last Wun – Gunna (35k)

Every time a new Young Thug phone call leaks, it makes me respect Gunna’s approach even more. While others are busy being Chatty Pattys, Gunna has stayed quiet, focused on working out and making music that sticks. The Last Wun is proof of that, continuing to thrive on the charts simply because the music speaks for itself. The album already has undeniable fan favorites like “wgft” and “forever be mine,” but lowkey, “sakpase” has been the track getting the most spins from me this week.
