Young Thug is officially back, announcing his highly anticipated album Uy Scuti for a September 19 release. The news arrived at the end of his emotional music video for “Man I Miss My Dogs,” where Thug offered public apologies to Drake, Mariah The Scientist, Lil Baby, Future, 21 Savage, and others for comments made in a series of leaked phone calls that dominated headlines over the past month.

The album comes during a turbulent period for the Atlanta star. Alongside public scrutiny from those leaked calls, Young Thug faces ongoing snitching allegations and a falling out with longtime collaborator Gunna. Despite the drama, the rapper’s announcement has sparked major excitement among fans eager to hear his first body of work since returning home.

Uy Scuti also represents a milestone in Thug’s career: it’s his first release since being freed from jail and the follow-up to Business Is Business, which dropped in 2023 during his incarceration. The title, referencing the massive red supergiant star, hints that this could be one of his most ambitious projects yet.

Details about the tracklist and guest features remain under wraps. Given recent tensions with some of his closest collaborators, fans are eager to see who—if anyone—joins him on this next chapter.
