A striking pop gem overflowing with raw emotion.
Elke Jess is a multi-talented artist whose music reflects the emotional depth of those around her. “I’m inspired by my love for the people around me and the experiences of heartache and vulnerability they hold,” she explains. Known for previous releases like “Low Tide” and “belittle me, love,” Elke continues to evolve her sound while keeping her storytelling at the forefront.
Her latest release, the pop single “Reeling,” was born from a moment of pure honesty. Elke revealed on Instagram, “It is 100% a scream in the car song to get out all your frustrations. I wrote it in January while staying at an Airbnb in Zurich, Switzerland. With no guitar or piano—just a notebook and the knowledge that I was about to go home to a situation that had left me feeling so out of control—‘Reeling’ was written.”
The track blends shimmering instrumentals and warm beats to create a bright, atmospheric backdrop. Its melodic layers perfectly complement Elke’s emotionally charged lyrics and powerful vocals.
With lines like “Got to know you involuntarily…Maybe I’m the one that’s being used / But at least I’m the one you choose,” “Reeling” showcases Elke’s ability to turn personal heartache into a striking pop gem that invites listeners to feel—and heal—right alongside her.
