Cardi B proves she’s still hip-hop royalty as AM I THE DRAMA? debuts at #1 on both US iTunes and Apple Music.

Cardi B has returned in full force with her highly anticipated album AM I THE DRAMA?, debuting at #1 on the US iTunes albums chart and quickly topping Apple Music as well. This achievement makes her the first female rapper of 2025 to lead both charts simultaneously, underlining her continued dominance.

The project features an impressive list of collaborators, including Janet Jackson, Kehlani, Lizzo, Selena Gomez, and Cash Cobain. Their combined star power adds variety and texture, giving Cardi plenty of space to showcase her signature confidence and sharp delivery.

Her single with Summer Walker, “Dead,” has already reached #1 on US Apple Music. In fact, six of the platform’s top seven spots are currently occupied by tracks from AM I THE DRAMA?, including “Magnet,” “Hello,” “Safe,” “Pick It Up,” and “Bodega Baddie.” Cardi also extends her record as the female artist with the most #1s on Apple Music—15 in total.

Arriving seven years after her blockbuster debut Invasion of Privacy, which has sold over 7.1 million units in the U.S., AM I THE DRAMA? cements Cardi B’s status as one of hip-hop’s most commanding forces. The long gap only heightened anticipation, and early chart numbers prove her pull remains unmatched.
