A$AP Rocky received some of Drake’s harshest bars on “Family Matters.”

A$AP Rocky is speaking out about Drake’s reported lawsuit connected to last year’s high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar. In a recent interview with ELLE, Rocky explained why he decided not to involve himself in the clash.

“The battle was between Kendrick and Drake, not Drake and everybody else who might have said something at that time, and that’s mainly why I fell back,” Rocky said. He emphasized that he never saw the feud as his fight to join.

Rocky also criticized Drake’s choice to pursue legal action. “I just hate the way it’s turning out with [Drake] suing and all that. What part of the game is that? What type of sh*t is that? That’s none of my business, I guess,” he added, making clear he disapproves of turning rap conflicts into court battles.

While Rocky largely avoided the back-and-forth, his comments show how artists close to the situation viewed the feud’s aftermath. Drake has not publicly responded to Rocky’s remarks as the conversation around last year’s rap beef continues.
