LORD ROSPO makes his debut with Memories, a six-track EP that blends melancholy vocals, cinematic instrumentals, and emotional storytelling.
LORD ROSPO has officially stepped into the spotlight with his debut EP, Memories, out digitally on September 26. The project is released via Humen Records, with distribution handled by Cézame and APM, and comes with a limited run of 100 physical copies scheduled for October. A private showcase in Paris this November will follow to mark the release.
The six-track collection feels like a meeting point between balladry and experimentation, with melodies that nod toward Billy Joel, James Blake, and Chance Peña. Instead of boxing himself into a single style, LORD ROSPO leans into cinematic instrumentals and melancholy-tinged arrangements that let his vocals breathe.
Songs like “CINNAMON” highlight the emotional pull of the project, as he writes about finding direction through someone significant. “MOVIE” takes the opposite approach, reflecting on loss and emotional conflict, while “NOVEMBER” closes in softer tones, longing for closeness with someone just out of reach. These tracks reveal both the rawness of new beginnings and the clarity of a voice carving its own lane.
Memories is short but focused, leaving space for listeners to sit with its themes instead of rushing through them. As a debut, it’s not just an introduction—it’s a signal of where LORD ROSPO could go next, balancing intimacy with ambition.
