Tyler, The Creator’s “IGOR” Surpasses 5 Billion Spotify Streams

Big Tyler continues to break records.

Tyler, The Creator just reached another milestone. His 2019 album IGOR has officially crossed 5 billion streams on Spotify, cementing its place as one of his most impactful projects to date.

Some of the album’s biggest tracks are still running up numbers years later. “EARFQUAKE” leads the way with over 1.2 billion streams, while “NEW MAGIC WAND” has racked up more than 800 million. Even the soulful closer, “ARE WE STILL FRIENDS,” sits at an impressive 750 million. For an album that leaned more experimental than commercial, those numbers say a lot about its staying power.

What set IGOR apart was Tyler’s decision to blur the line between rapper and singer. The project had him crooning, distorting vocals, and piecing together lush soundscapes rather than relying solely on bars. When it dropped, it opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 165,000 first-week sales—proof that risk-taking can pay off.

Since then, Tyler hasn’t looked back. CHROMAKOPIA, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, and his latest, DON’T TAP THE GLASS, have only built on that momentum. But even with all the new music, IGOR continues to resonate—and clearly, it hasn’t stopped spinning.
