The numbers are in—Spotify just dropped the list of most streamed rappers for September, and Drake is leading the pack by a landslide.
Drake continues to prove why he’s one of the biggest names in music. For September, the rapper pulled in a massive 1.45 billion streams on Spotify, nearly doubling the second-place spot. Behind him are Travis Scott with 746 million streams and Kendrick Lamar with 660 million, both putting up big numbers in their own right.
The list doesn’t stop there. Kanye West, Future, Eminem, and Lil Wayne all made strong showings, keeping their legacies alive with hundreds of millions of streams. Newer favorites like Gunna and Don Toliver joined the mix as well, showing how the balance of classic heavyweights and rising stars keeps hip hop’s streaming scene dynamic.
Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj were the two female rappers holding it down this month, proving that women are still very much at the forefront of the game. And even though Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION are no longer with us, their music continues to reach millions, keeping their influence alive in 2025.
Rounding out the list is ASAP Rocky with 226 million streams. With so many big names on the board, the numbers tell the story of how hip hop’s biggest stars—past and present—continue shaping what we listen to every day.
